Who operates this site

Fakenamely is built and operated by Vincent Ruan, an independent developer — there is no separate company behind it. References to "we" or "us" in these terms mean Vincent Ruan operating as Fakenamely. See the about-the-author page for background.

Fictional data

All data generated by this site is fictional and randomly produced. It does not describe, and is not derived from, any real person. Any resemblance to a real individual, address, account or identifier is coincidental.

Acceptable use

You may use generated data for lawful purposes, including:

  • Software testing, QA and development.
  • Seeding databases and populating demos and mockups.
  • Protecting your privacy where a service does not require accurate data.

Prohibited use

You must not use generated data to:

  • Commit fraud, deception for financial gain, or money laundering.
  • Impersonate any real person or organization.
