This tool uses Faker 9.9’s English company-name generator, which assembles surname-based names such as a single surname with a suffix or several surnames joined together. It does not take an industry, product description or brand brief as input.
Use the list for company and employer fields in CRM demos, sales-table prototypes or application fixtures. Some names contain commas, apostrophes or hyphens, which are useful inputs for checking CSV imports and text rendering. CSV and JSON downloads use a company field and preserve the displayed names; the CSV serializer quotes embedded commas so a name stays in one column.
Random generation does not establish that a business name is unused. Results can repeat or match an existing business or trademark; the tool checks no registry, domain or trademark database. If you are naming a real business, treat the list as brainstorming input and separately research the names you shortlist. For person and contact fields, the full identity generator is a separate tool; it does not attach a company to each profile.

Frequently asked questions
Are these real company names?
They are generated placeholders, not entries retrieved from a business directory. A result can still match a real company because the tool uses common surnames and patterns and does not check registrations.
Can I use this as a business name generator for a new company?
You can use the results as brainstorming input. The tool does not assess brand fit, trademark status, business registration or domain availability. Use the relevant registries and search tools to investigate a shortlisted name.
Can I generate names for a specific industry or country?
This version uses the English company-name dataset and provides a quantity selector. It has no industry, country, custom suffix or keyword controls.
How do I download company names for a CRM import?
Generate up to 100 names and choose Download CSV or Download JSON. Both formats use a company field and contain the names shown on screen. CSV names containing commas are quoted. Map the column to your CRM’s company field and check its import and duplicate rules.
