A UK address, ready for your form

Use the street, city and postcode fields separately in a registration or checkout test, or copy the complete address into a label mockup. The block puts the postcode on its own line and omits internal city abbreviations. A country line is included for international layouts; omit it when your form already specifies the United Kingdom.

Need several examples? Generate a batch and copy all the one-line addresses, or export CSV and JSON. Keep the postcode as text, including the space between its outward and inward parts. The exports use separate columns so you can map them to your own form fields.

What the UK address fields mean

FieldWhat the generator supplies
StreetA generated house number and street name; not a verified property
CityOne of the supported cities listed below
Outward postcodeA reference district code for the selected city, such as W1T for London
Inward postcodeA generated digit and two letters; assignment is not verified
CountryUnited Kingdom

Reference geography and generated details have different levels of certainty.

Supported locations

The UK-wide generator samples 15 cities: London, Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Leeds, Edinburgh, Liverpool, Bristol, Cardiff, Leicester, Belfast, Coventry, Nottingham, Reading. The city and outward postcode are selected together, rather than combined independently. The London tool below keeps one city fixed.

Formatting is different from delivery verification

A postcode has an outward part identifying an area and district, followed by an inward part. A plausible postcode does not establish that a street or property exists. This tool does not query Royal Mail's Postcode Address File or confirm that a generated address can receive mail.

Use generated addresses for mockups, sample imports and format checks. For a real delivery, verify the actual recipient's address with Royal Mail. This generator does not provide a verified residence, a proof-of-address document, PO Box coverage or every UK address variation.

Frequently asked questions

How do I generate a random UK address?

Five sample addresses are ready when the page opens. Choose one, three, five or ten results and select Generate addresses. Copy a name, phone number or complete address, or download the displayed results as CSV or JSON.

Are these real UK addresses and postcodes?

The city and outward postcode come from our reference list. The street, house number and inward postcode are generated. The complete address is not checked against Royal Mail's address file: it may be unassigned or match a real address by chance. Use it as test data, not for deliveries or address verification.

Can I generate an address specifically in London?

Yes. Use the London Address Generator linked below. It keeps London selected when you refresh or generate a batch. This UK-wide page samples the cities listed in our supported locations.

What is included in the CSV and JSON downloads?

Each record includes street, city, state or region, postal code, country, name and phone. The export's zip column holds the UK postcode as text. Downloads contain the addresses currently displayed, including a single address, rather than generating a different set.

Does this generate British names too?

Each address row includes a sample British name. Use the separate British Name Generator for name-only lists or a complete fictional UK profile.
